The size of the hoppers for the de-icing material ranges from 1.2 m³ up to 4.4 m³ and have a low centre of gravity due to their extremely low design. Adjustments are easily made when vehicles are changed.

Depending on the weather, the Stratos F can spread de-icing materials such as grit, dry or pre-wetted salt from the hopper and lateral brine tanks.
