In April 2012, Telemet Sudamérica was designated as the Exclusive Distributor of Onspot, automatic snow chains, for Chile and Andine Region. The Onspot company belongs to the VBG Group, located in Vänersborg, Sweden.
A simple solution
Onspot is a very simple concept. When the road becomes icy and slippery, all the driver needs to do is press a button in his cab, and Onspot is activated. Activation is possible at speeds of up to 30 mi/h (50 km/h). As this safety device is easier to use, it is also used only when needed. It doesn’t look particularly special. And it doesn’t cost that much either. But risks are reduced, the driver feels safer and his working environment is enhanced. It is easier for goods vehicles to arrive on time, and rescue vehicles can be on the spot as fast as possible.
