A lower cost option for a runway sweeper is to mount the sweeper on the front of an already existing truck. The auxiliary engine is mounted on a skid and can be loaded in and out of the dump bed as required. Hydrostatic components drive the sweeper-broom that is mounted on the front of the truck. Any truck of required size is appropriate and broom widths vary from 12 feet to 22 feet. A compact control panel is mounted in the cab of the truck for control of the rear engine and sweeper. This application allows the option of using the truck unit for other purposes. Kodiak manufactures the sweeper-broom and hitch attachment, the hydrostatic hookups and the engine and hydrostatic pump & motor. Mounting can occur either at the Kodiak Factory or on site with Kodiak personnel.
